Introduction

Psychiatric Nursing Department is comprised of a team that dedicated towards professionalism. Primary Objectives and philosophy is to impart education related to mental health, impart insight about mental disorders and its prevention and management.

Objectives

• To develop the knowledge and skills regarding mental health and its illness.
• To improve Clinical competencies & encourage a uniform Standard.
• To remove Myths & Stigma related to mental illness in Society by providing knowledge and awareness.
• To develop insight regarding mental health, identification, prevention & its nursing management

Departmental Activities

• Conduct monthly departmental meeting and maintain report.
• Prepare department calendar at the beginning of academic year.
• Conduct National and International health days.
• Conduct and attend workshops, seminars, conferences/ webinar etc.
• Conduct students counseling
• Prepare the clinical plan and list of clinical requirement as per the INC syllabus & has to submit to the EAPP.
• Maintain attendance of students in clinical area.
