Bombay Hospital College of Nursing was established in 2008 to offer 4 year B.Sc nursing course  and was affiliated to Devi Ahilya Vishwavidhyalaya Indore.  The main aim of the college has been focused on preparing excellent clinical nurses, world class nursing Academicians and nurse Researchers. M.Sc Nursing program was started in 2015 in three specialties (Medical Surgical Nursing- 4N, Mental health nursing-3 and Community health nursing-3). We also enhanced B.Sc Nursing seats strength from 40 to 50 in the same year. The Bombay Hospital College of Nursing is a pioneering institution which promotes quality Nursing Education in the country. It is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, Madhya Pradesh Nurses registration Council Bhopal and  is affiliated to the Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University. Qualified and experienced faculties impart quality nursing education to the student nurses under various courses offered at Bombay Hospital College of Nursing.

The essence of higher education is to build on the foundation of existing knowledge base, but ina professional course of education, an institution has the challenge to make a new foundation not only of knowledge but more importantly of developing professional attitude of commitment in the young minds for service. Surely, it needs dedicated efforts, Although its more than 15 years of its shining existence Bombay Hospital College of Nursing has proved its mantle and the institution is being looked at as a beacon of hope and guidance by the nursing fraternity in this part of the country.

The unique function of the nurse is to assist the individual sick or well, in the performance of those activities contributing to health or its recovery (or to peaceful death) that he would perform un-aided if he had the necessary strength, will or knowledge. And to do this in such a way as to hold him gain independence as rapidly aspossible keeping the main philosophy in mind i.e.Excellence in Education & Excellence in practice.

  • We, the staff of college of nursing believe that the basic degree course in nursing is formal education preparation, which should be based on sound educational principles.
  • We believe that we have responsibility in providing nursing education based on scientific principles, relating to theory and practice in order to produce skilled, highly competent, qualified nurses to face the professional challenges.
  • We believe that skill in all aspects of communication is essential for learning and for the practice of nursing. We recognize that the nature of Nursing is such that substantial portion of student learning is acquired in clinical area.
  • We recognize that interdependence of Nursing with allied professions and occupations are necessary in promotion and restoration of health and prevention of illness.
  • We believe that we have responsibility to the student and society to make provision in the programmed for continued development of the student as an individual as a citizen as well as a nurse.
